Dre. Louise Marchand

Dre. Louise Marchand has been in the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery for over 30 years, surrounding herself with a trusted team she has collaborated with for many years.

After studying dental medicine at the Université de Montréal, Dre. Marchand completed a one-year internship at McGill University, where she developed a passion for this dental medicine specialty. She then specialized for four years at Université Laval and at the Enfant-Jésus hospital in oral and maxillofacial surgery. To broaden her horizons, Dre. Marchand completed her training in California and France. Today, she is better equipped to support dentists or orthodontists in complex cases of extractions, implants, or jaw corrections.

A member of the Order of Dentists and the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialists of Quebec, she regularly attends training sessions to stay informed about the latest developments. Over the years, Dr. Marchand has developed an expertise recognized by her peers in jaw correction surgery. She is the initiator of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Lachine Hospital Centre (CUSM), where she still works. Additionally, her analytical mind makes her a sought-after expert in various cases.

Dre. Louise Marchand is a pioneer in her field, being the first woman in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Quebec, and since then, many women have joined her in this specialty.
